The Road past the Hilltop Hotel

This is another picture taken from the roof of the building.  A pathway (road?) went past the building farther up the hill.   I don't know what the road led to because we couldn't leave the immediate area.  On occasion women, like the two shown here, would walk by, perhaps on their way to work.  They carried something in a bag and they usually each had a machete.  It was my understanding that it was their job to cut down weeds in the banana patch.

We'd see these ladies passing by on their way to work, but never really met any of them.
